The Space Channel 5 Gyun Gyun Book, or the Space Channel 5 Kinda Funky Book when translated, is a Japan-exclusive book dedicated to the first game. This book contains exclusive information about the game's characters and universe. Additionally, the book contains an in-depth guide to the game. This guide lists the all the commands for a perfect report complete with a rhythm scale and gives advice on how to stay in the groove or recuse a new Earthling for each act in the game.
This book was followed up by the Space Channel 5 Part 2 Sugoku Sugoi Guide Book.
As this book has never been officially translated, any and all information from this book is fan translated.

Despite it's title, Kinda Funky Broadcasting Station Space Channel 5 is a section of the book dedicated to all of the known broadcasting stations in the Space Channel 5 universe. Naturally, Channel 5 has the most information written about it. All the pages related to the broadcasting stations contain a small blurp about the channel itself and list their trade name, number of employees, and their motto. They also have profiles on their respective lead reporters and descriptions on some of their programming.
