Soon-soon is a supporting character in Space Channel 5 VR: Kinda Funky News Flash!. She is a young woman affiliated with the Space Pirate Broadcasting Station, and part of an elite group known as the "Jaguars" with Kell and Bello.

She was known as a champion in a galactic car-racing circuit before she decided to become a reporter and join the Underground Pirate Broadcasting System.

She now works with the Space Pirate Broadcasting Station.

Information[]

Appearance[]

Soon-soon has dark brown skin, blue eyes, and bright blue hair that is mostly worn in locs, the rest being braided on the other side of her head. A dark blue hair tie ties her locs together.

She wears a unique Space Pirate uniform, a sleeveless black shirt that is striped on the back, with the Space Pirates' logo across the chest. She has a white belt, gloves, and knee-high boots. There are two black straps wrapped around each of her shoulders. Her skirt is also black with a blue underside and is slightly notched in the front. Like the other Space Pirate elites, she wears a silver antennae on her left shoulder and has a single propulsion canister on her back.

Personality[]

Although very little of Soon-soon's personality is shown in game, she does show smugness towards Channel 5, taunting them alongside her team in Report 03: Space Pirate Showdown.

Otherwise, her Friendopedia profile describes her as capable, versatile, valiant, and impeccably stylish, but easily upset in private. Her personal motto is, "If you can't do it with style, then don't bother doing it at all."[3]

    • Additionally, the official Space Channel 5 twitter account once referred to the Jaguars as "Space Hell's guard dogs."[4]
  • Soon-soon, Kell, Bello, Shadow and Hoorg are the only main characters whose names were never mentioned in any game of the series.
  • Soon-soon is the only one out of the Jaguars and Jaguar to not have any lines (unused or not) referring to UlalaRoo and Kie as "Channel 5".
