Space Channel 5 Wiki

The Shadow Imposters are enemies in Space Channel 5: Part 2. They are BuffBots disguised as Shadow to confuse Ulala and keep her from saving Jaguar from Purge's brainwashing control.

Character Info[]

Appearance[]

Naturally, the Shadow Imposters look near identical to Shadow. The only difference between them and the real Shadow is that they are accented by the color pink rather than red when they initially appear during the shooting segments. However, they are able to change their appearance to be completely identical to Shadow's.

Their pink coloring is most often used to portray them in out-of story-contexts.

History[]

Space Channel 5: Part 2[]

Report 5: The Spies Get Revenge!
Shadow Imposters appear in the Report 5. After the Battle of the Bands, Jaguar starts getting conscious again and tries to escape from Purge's brainwashing control. However, Purge uses all of his power to keep Jaguar brainwashed for a little more time so he can proceed with his plans.

To keep Ulala from saving Jaguar, four BuffBots project holograms on themselves to look like the real Shadow. This starts a shooting segment, where Shadow and the four importers will pose saying "chu" and Ulala must find the real one and shot him with the "hey" button, despite the real Shadow saying "chu" just like the imposters.

To distinguish the real Shadow from the importers, the player must simply look at their poses, as all of the imposters make an identical pose while the real one does Jaguar's signature "chu" pose. Not only that, he even says "chu?" rather that "chu!". At the beginning of the segment, the imposters will also be black and pink rather than black and red, then they later make themselves look identical to Shadow, though they don't make the same "chu" pose as the real Shadow.

Once the segment ends, the imposters disappear and aren't seen since then.
