A Secret Command being found in Space Channel 5: Part 2 (The Yellow Morolian popping up at the bottom left).

The Secrets, also known as Secret Commands and Secret Moves, are a recurring feature in the Space Channel 5 series, which was first introduced in Space Channel 5: Part 2.

During specific moments of the games, the player must find the Secret Commands in order to increase their view ratings, and in order to get 100% views in the Report, the player must find all of the secrets.

From the second game forward, the series introduced the secret moves. In Space Channel 5: Part 2, the player must pay attention during cutscenes and press a button in a specific moment. This will make Morolians, or a secret message appear, and give them more ratings. Like other commands, pressing a button too soon will count as failing the Secret Command and any further inputs will be dismissed. Due to this, repeatedly tapping a button in hopes of eventually pressing it at the right time is not a viable strategy,

A Secret move in Space Channel 5 VR.

In Space Channel 5 VR, the Secrets are blue circles that appear on the screen during in-game cutscenes. They appear in front of the player's initial starting point in fixed locations. The player must place their hand inside of the circle in order to get more views. If the player does not touch them in time, they will simply disappear. While the game is paused, though Secrets cannot be obtained in this state, the player can move themselves closer to a Secret before it disappears with no penalty.

Secrets in Space Channel 5: Part 2

Report 1: Ulala Back in Action!

There is a total of seven secrets in Report 1.

• Secrets 1~2: There will be three horn beats at the very beginning of the stage. On the second horn beat—when Ulala points to the left of the screen—press a button at the split second you hear the horn beat. On the third horn beat—when Ulala points forward and the screen moves away—press a button at the split second you hear the horn beat.
• Secret 3: After the first battle with Shadow, Ulala will save Money Bags and The Heart Woman. After the rescue, all three will do a quick dance, pause, then strike a pose. Just as they strike a pose, and they pause briefly, hit a button.
• Secret 4: After the second battle with Shadow, Ulala will save multiple people, including Sugar Daddy, Chorus Lady, Space Granny, etc. Hit a button when everyone strikes a pose and pauses briefly.
• Secret 5: After the third battle with Shadow, Ulala will save the Space Guide. After the rescue, everyone does a quick dance, pause and pose. Press a button when they strike a pose.
• Secret 6: When leaving the Main Floor, after the final three chu's, press the button just before Ulala says the "tuned" in "stay tuned." This can be visually time to Ulala's hearts; while the ratings are being converted, press the button when the heart appears the largest.
• Secret 7: While Ulala signs off and draws a 5 with her hands, press a button when her hand points to the top left of the screen. This will be just before she says "Space Channel 5."

Report 2: Nature's Revenge!

There is a total of 10 secrets in Report 2. Unlike the other reports, no Morolians will appear when the input is successfully timed.

• Secret 1~2: There will be three horn beats at the very beginning of the stage. On the second horn beat—when Ulala points to the left of the screen—press a button the split second you hear the horn beat. On the third beat—when Ulala points forward—press a button the split second you hear the horn beat.
• Secret 3: After rescuing the Space Primary Schoolers and defeating Shadow, press the button at the apex of Ulala's hop. The rescued Space Primary Schoolers will also jump along side her and shout "yatta!"
• Secret 4: After rescuing Mr. Nervous, press the button when the Space Primary Schoolers jump and say "ya ho!" Ulala will also start to raise her leg and place her hands on her cheek at this moment.
• Secret 5: When leaving Exhibition Tower, after the final three chu's, press the button just before Ulala says the "tuned" in "stay tuned." This can be visually time to Ulala's hearts; while the ratings are being converted, press the button when the heart appears the largest.
• Secret 6: When Pudding appears on stage, she says her signature "Good evening, everybody!" followed by "It's me, Pudding!" When the camera switches, press the button right as she says "it's."
• Secret 7: After rescuing the Space Bird Mistress, press the button the moment everyone jumps in the air and says "whoo!"
• Secret 8: When Leaving Fountain Square, after Ulala finishes posing, press a button at the end of Ulala saying "stay." This can be visually time to Ulala's hearts; while the ratings are being converted, press the button when the heart appears the largest.
• Secret 9: After entering the Greenhouse, about two seconds after Ulala says "look" but before she says "what's that," press a button. This is a few frames before Pon Piriri's blossoms bloom.
• Secret 10: The final input is about two seconds after Pon Pirir falls on his rear. Press the button right after the stars disappear from the screen.

Report 3: Meet the Sexy Space Police!

There is a total of nine secrets in Report 3.

• Secret 1: After Pudding says "The scoop is mine!", press a button.
• Secret 2: Press a button when Pudding waves her mic to Ulala.
• Secrets 3~6: Press a button in time with Sexy 1 and Sexy 2's back vocals. There are four spots in total.
• Secret 7: Before the Battle of the Drums, Ulala and Noise will strike a pose. Press a button there.
• Secret 8: After the Battle of the Drums, Ulala and Noise will play a victory beat. Hit a button at the last boom, where fireworks shoot up from below their feet.
• Secret 9: When blowing up Pine's missile, after the final three Chus, Press a button when Ulala says "Tuned in "Stay Tuned!". This can be visually time to Ulala's hearts; while the ratings are being converted, press the button when the heart appears the largest.

Report 4: The End for Space Channel 5?!

There is a total of 33 secrets in Report 4. This is the most secrets any one report has.

• Secret 1: After saving the whole rescue police, everyone will spin and say "Whoo!". Press a button there.
• Secrets 2~6: There's a sequence where the rescue police will sing together, saying "Ooh-ha! Ooh-ha!". Press a button when you hear HA. This occurs five times.
• Secret 7: After landing succesfully to the outside of Channel 5 studios, Press a button when Ulala says "Tuned in "Stay Tuned!". This can be visually time to Ulala's hearts; while the ratings are being converted, press the button when the heart appears the largest.
• Secrets 8: After saving everyone, including the Cheerleaders, press a button when you hear "Whoo!", just before the Cheerleader song section.
• Secrets 9~32: These Secrets are timed with the Cheerleaders' song. The song changes depending on the player's performance and which version of Report 4 is being played. The timings in relation to the song are listed below, at the end of this section.
• Secret 33: After rescuing Space Michael, Ulala will dance along with him. Press a button when Ulala, Michael and the security bots strike a pose.

Report 5: The Spies Get Revenge!

There is a total of six secrets in Report 5.

• Secret 1: Press a button the moment Pudding says "Tuned" in "Stay Tuned!".
• Secrets 2~5: Before the Battle of the Bands, Pudding, Pine, Space Michael and the Morolian Boss will pull out their instruments and strike a pose. Press a button four times.
• Secret 6: After the "Which one is the real one" section, Ulala will save Jaguar. After the rescue, everyone will dance, strike a pose, and pause briefly. Press a button there.

Report 6: Purge's T.V. Special

There is a total of three secrets in Report 6.

• Secret 1~2: There will be three horn beats at the very beginning of the stage. On the second horn beat—when Ulala points to the left of the screen—press a button the split second you hear the horn beat. On the third beat—when Ulala points forward—press a button the split second you hear the horn beat.
• Secret 3: Before the second battle with Great Purge, where Ulala transforms into Super Ulala, press a button before she says "at dancing!" from "When have i ever lost... at dancing!". This can be visually timed by the camera zoom. Press a button when the camera zooms a bit out of Ulala.

Secrets in Space Channel 5 VR: Kinda Funky News Flash!

Report 1: Morolians Strike Back!

There is a total of ten secrets in Report 1.

• Secrets 1, 5, 9: before a dancing or shooting battle starts, a blue circle will appear. Hover your hand onto it.
• Secrets 2~4, 6~8, 10: After successfully beating the morolians, Ulala will do a victory dance. When that happens, blue circles will appear. Hover your hands at them the moment you see them.

Report 2: A Chorus in White

There is a total of ten secrets in Report 2.

• Secret 1: Before battling the OtherMoros, a blue circle will appear. Hover your hand to it.
• Secrets 2~5: In pauses between battles, blue circles will appear. Hover your hands at them.
• Secret 6: Before the battle with the Groovebot Prime EX, a blue circle will appear. Hover your hand at it.
• Secrets 7~8: After the battle with the Groovebot Prime EX, Ulala will do a victory dance. When that happens, blue circles will appear. Hover your hands at them the moment you see them.
• Secrets 9~10: After the last 3 chu-s, blue circles will appear the moment Fuse comments. Hover your hands at them.

DLC Report: Introducing Space Channel 39!

There are eleven secrets in this report.

• Secrets 1~10: They're the same as Report 1.
• Secret 11: Before the report ends, Hatsune Miku will give you her hand for a High-five, where a blue circle will appear. Give her the High-five by hovering your hand to the blue circle.
