The Dark Rhythm Robots first appear during the game's loading screens, switching between their 'up', 'right', left' or 'down' poses.
Report 5: The Spies Get Revenge!
When Ulala and her team are discovered in the Mystery Zone, a level segment will begin, where the Dark Rhythm Robots will appear on the walls making 'up', 'right', left' or 'down' poses without saying the directions they are poiting, then finish saying "chu". To defeat them, Ulala must memorize and copy the directions given by the robots.
After escaping the trap, the heroes are surprised by another one, where they fall into a dark room full of Dark Rhythm Robots. A level segment will begin, where Ulala stands in the center of the group, Pine stands to the left, Space Michael up, Hoorg down, and Pudding right and they will need to shoot at the robots that approach their respective direction.
