The Black Flyers are robots created by Purge and enemies in Space Channel 5: Part 2.

Space Channel 5: Part 2[]
Report 1: Ulala Back in Action!
The Black Flyers first appear during the cutscene prior to Report 1, where they attack the Space Symphony and force people to dance.
Later during gameplay segment, three Black Flyers appear after the second dance battle against Shadow (the one where Ulala saves the Space Guide), where they try to attack Ulala. To prevent that from happening, Ulala must memorize and copy the directions they say to attack them first.
Report 2: Nature's Revenge!
The Black Flyers appear during the first shooting segment against Shadow at the Space Park's conveyor belt (the one where Ulala must save the Space Children). Ulala must memorize and copy the directions given by Shadow to shot at the Black Flyers before they attack her.
After this report, the Black Flyers are replaced by the Silver Flyers.

Black Flyers in Project X Zone 2.
- Project X Zone 2: The Black Flyers don't appear as enemy units, but they do appear when Shadow attacks the player.
