Appearance[]

History[]

Space Channel 5 VR: Kinda Funky News Flash![]

A Chorus in White
Before the level begins, there's a cutscene where Glitter thanks the Morolians for the Groove Moxie they gathered and as a form of "gratitude", he injects X space cells into them, turning them into Othermoros.

As the gameplay segment begins, a group of Othermoros appears at the very beginning of the report. They raise Ulala's curiosity and order her to give all of her Groove Moxie. This starts a dance battle where the player must copy their dance moves. During the battle, they introduce their race and their brand new kind. After the player defeating them on a dance battle, Other★Tapiocas will appear and join force with the Othermoros. After knocking the Other★Tapiocas, the Othermoros will flee the battle.

The Final Report

A lot of Othermoros appear to assist Glitter in the final battle of the game. They do the dance moves and sing along with the space organism, but they are eventually defeated and turned back into their normal forms after the heroes causing enough damage on Glitter. After being released from Glitter's control, the Morolians join forces with the heroes and help them making a fantastic force made of Groove Moxie to defeat Glitter.

Trial Dance
Othermoros appear in the Trial Dance minigame when the player reaches 34% views and are defeated once the player reaches 53%.

Costume
An Othermoro costume for Ulala is available for download in the Hatsune Miku DLC.

Trivia[]

  • The Othermoros are an evil variation of the Morolians and they have white color palletes, contradicting with most of the evil characters variations in movies, series and games in which the characters get black/darker color palletes.
  • The Othermoros are similar to Shadow from Space Channel 5: Part 2, as both are characters who were brainwashed and turned into someone else. Additionally, the Othermoros have Shadow's opposite color.
  • Hoorg, Morolian Eight, Morolian Cameraman, Clork and Brack were the only Morolians who weren't seen as Othermoros and thus, they may be the only Morolians who somehow weren't turned into Othermoros.
  • The Othermoros appear to be wearing virtual reality glasses.
  • The Othermoros share their English voice actress, Cherami Leigh, with Ulala.
  • Like the regular Morolians, the Othermoros usually say "moromoro". However, the regular Morolians say that at the end of their sentences, while the Othermoros say that at the beginning of their sentences.
  • Weirdly, the name "Othermoro" appears above a regular Morolian during the game's credits.
