When they are discovered, the heroes run to colorful rooms with a secret trap to them. A level segment begins, where the heroes need to memorize and copy the Rhythm Robots' poses. However, the player should pay attention as this time, as the robots won't say the dance commands besides "Chu!". This level segment takes place in three rooms, the first one is black with white circles, the second one is black with pink, purple and blue circles and the last one is white with circles that has black outlines.

Jaguar screams in pain, warps in front of Ulala along with the BuffBots, and Purge asks if she wants to play a game. It is called "Which one of them doesn’t belong?", where the BuffBots turn into Shadow Impostors and they all attack Ulala along with the actual Shadow. Ulala must use her Hey Beam on the real one and and her Chu Beam on the fake ones, once Ulala fires enough blasts of her rescue beam, Jaguar will be freed from Purge's control.

All of the main characters finally reunited.

When Jaguar is finally freed, he informs Ulala and her friends that Purge has built “a fearsome weapon" called Ballistic Groove Gun from all of the satellites that have been stolen, which will make the whole galaxy dance for Purge and therefore, they need to hurry. Now all together, they ascend in the same transport pod Jaguar had arrived on and the report ends.

Trivia[]

Space Channel 5 part2boxart00123
  • When they save Jaguar, some of the characters will do a similar pose to the one they are doing in the game's boxart.
  • Pudding and Ulala have unused voice clips linked to this level that would have presumably played at the beginning of the level, which can be found in the game files.[1]
  • During the level's intro, Hoorg can be seen using the Tapi-Maru, a spaceship modeled after the boss Coco★Tapioca from the first game, which had previously appeared in the Report 3 from Part 2, being piloted by Morolian Eight.
  • The theme heard during the first part of Report 5 is named Strobe Action.
  • This is the only level where Ulala in her Spy Suit will be wearing her black glasses, making the Mystery Zone the only level in the game to have an "exclusive" outfit. Ulala will wear the helmet of her Go-Go Suit and later take it off in Report 4, but both versions are separate costumes and are also both accessible.
  • In this level, Pudding is the one who says "Let's Dance" and "Stay Tuned" in the first segment.
  • In the opening cutscene of Report 5, many Rhythm Rogue spaceships can be seen "parked" at the base of the Mystery Zone.
  • In the Steam version, Pudding and Pine no long say the shooting instructions prior to "Which One is the Real One."
