Space Channel 5 VR: Kinda Funky News Flash![]
Report 2: A Chorus in White
Glitter first appears during a cutscene before the report begins, where it thanks the Morolians for all of Groove Moxie they gathered in the previous report. As a form of "gratitude" it injects X space cells into them, turning the Morolians into Othermoros. Glitter isn't seen again during the report, however its spaceship can be seen at the beginning of it, abducting people. It's also revealed that Glitter injected X space cells into three Coco★Tapiocas off screen, turning into Other★Tapiocas.
Report 4: The Final Report
Glitter doesn't appear in the previous report, The Pirates Showdown, though it was inside its spaceship which captured all of the reporters but Jaguar, Roo and Kie. Off screen, Glitter absorbs its hostages' Groove Moxies. As the report begins Glitter finally appears to the player, declaring that it is very full, expecting no less from Ulala's Groove Moxie; however it still wants more and starts a fight against the player with Othermoros assisting it.
The first battle consists of Glitter singing and attacking the player while the Othermoros do the dance moves. Mr. Gentle assists the player by singing and saying the moves they are doing. After a while the Jaguars advice the player to start shooting and they replace Mr. Gentle during the singing parts. As Glitter is taunting the player, Jaguar invades Glitter's ship and starts assisting the player. The player and Jaguar save all of the hostages and one last singing battle starts. In this battle, the characters sing by copying the Othermoros poses.
After defeating Glitter, the Othermoros turn back into Morolians and join forces with the heroes. Together, they unite their Groove Moxie to make one fantastic force capable of defeating Glitter. The space organism will give its final command, which is three last "Chus". If the player fails at copying it, the screen will turn black and white and freeze, all of the heroes will scream "No way!" and the player will need to restart the report.[1]However, if the player successfully copies its command, Glitter will get hit by a massive amount of Groove Moxie and a huge explosion will happen.
It's later revealed that Glitter was actually possessing a Space Diva with the same name. Once she is freed, Glitter flees from the scene. The space organism later appears one last time during the credits, next to the Space Diva.

Trivia[]
- Glitter's English voice actor, Greg Chun, also voices Noize in Space Channel 5 VR.
- The ring along its collar flashes while it talks.
- Like Purge from Space Channel 5 Part 2, Glitter appears to think what it’s doing isn't wrong. Purge, however, wanted to do something he thought was the best for the galaxy, Glitter was just trying to satisfy its appetite.
- Despite that, it was very aware it was mutating the Morolians and making its hostages suffer. Glitter appears to simply lack sympathy.
- Much like Shinichiro Tachibana, Glitter is the only known character of his species.
- Glitter is the first and so far only antagonist to successfully capture Ulala, 88MAN and Shinichiro Tachibana, and the second to capture Pudding.
- Glitter is the first and only major antagonist to not be launched into space after being defeated. Instead, it simply flees from the scene.
- Glitter is the first and only major antagonist to not be a human.
- Glitter has an unique way of brainwashing; instead of shooting some type of laser beam which makes its victims start dancing, it injects cells which not only brainwash its victims, but also give them different colors.
- Like a parasitic creature, Glitter latches onto its victim, which is a Space Diva who shares the same name, and brainwashes the person by injecting the X Space Cell onto the victim's head and giving the person a different color scheme.
- Much like the final boss from Space Channel 5 Part 2, Glitter's minions assist it during the singing parts of its boss battle.
- The first part of Glitter's boss battle theme is a remix of 侵略歌謡メカ『キン・コン・カン』(Singing Mecha Invader: Kin Kon Kan) and the second part is a remix of ツナグココロ (Sing With Us, Heart-to-Heart). Both themes are originally from Space Channel 5: Part 2.
- Glitter's first two quotes at the beginning of its battle are also similar to Purge's first two quotes at the beginning of the Kin, Kon and Kan battle; first they both introduce themselves, with Purge saying "They call me Purge!" and Glitter saying "You can call me Glit-ter!". Then, they reveal their goals; with Purge saying "I make the Galaxy dance for me!" and Glitter saying "Gonna consume all your Groove Moxie!".
- During Glitter's dance battle segment, the Othermoros do stomping sounds and clap while dancing. These sounds are reused sound files from Space Channel 5 Part 2, which can be heard during the Kin, Kon and Kan boss battle when Ulala and the rescued hostages celebrate for damaging the robots.
