Deron Dumont, also known as Green Man, is a recurring minor character in the Space Channel 5 series.

History[]

Space Channel 5[]

Report 1: Introducing...Ulala!

Deron can be found being forced to dance by the Morolians, multiple times, at the Spaceport 9's main floor, during the level's first shooting segment, which happens after Ulala saving Yaz Malloy and Brenda Boggs. However, he only appears if the player misses certain moves during this segment. More specific the one right before the hostages start appearing. Once Deron appears, Ulala must memorize and copy the directions given by the Morolians to save him. Just like every other rescued hostage, Deron will follow and assist Ulala throughout the rest of the Report once he is saved.

Report 2: Spaceship S.O.S.!

Deron reappears multiple times at the Luxury Spacecraft G. He can be found during the shooting segment at the Dinning Hall. However, Deron only appears if the player misses certain moves during this segment. To save Deron, Ulala must memorize and copy the directions given by the Morolians. After being rescued, Deron will follow Ulala throughout the rest of the report.

Report 3: Catch the Scoop!

Morolian Monroe (Deron Monitor)

Deron's monitor.

Deron makes a cameo during the battle against Morolian Monroe, during the shooting segment where the robot starts shooting hologram-like screen with humans images.

Deron is one of the two humans that appear in the monitors. When the monitor with Deron's face appears, Ulala must shoot at it with the rescue buttom.

Report 4: Evil in the Galaxy Revealed!

Deron Dumont can be found again, multiple times, in the Extra Mode version of the Report 4, being forced to dance by the Morolians. However, Deron only appears if the player misses certain moves. He first appears during the shooting segment against Brent Suzuki and Ms. Valala Petrie at the Recording Studio. Later, he can be found again in another shooting segment that happens in the studios of a quiz show, but again, only if the player fails at copying certain moves. To save Deron in both segments, Ulala must once again, memorize and copy the directions given by the Morolians. After being rescued, Deron will follow Ulala throughout the rest of the report.

Space Channel 5 VR: Kinda Funky News Flash![]

The manager of a space club that is, like, SO hot right now. His otherwordly features coupled with a lifestyle so unhealthy one wonders if he gets any nutrition at all is somehow... attractive? Also: not a fan of sunlight.
