What is this from? I've never seen this before, is it from a really obscure Space Channel 5 game of some kind, or an All-Stars game I've never heard of?

IMO it's a really good Sega franchise. I've never played the games (I'm more into Vectorman and Gunstar heroes when it comes to Sega series) but it's a very memorable franchise. Not the best but a very good franchise that's, like all sega franchises that aren't sonic, highly underrated.
